today I got a 12v "motor" minus the crank, timing case, injection pump, ps pump. the guy said it came from a 94-95 freightliner box truck. I plan to at least keep the block and have it line bored, girdle, main studs, 14mm headstuds, bored and decked. how difficult is it to find parts for a block that doesn't have an official vehicle it went into? what I mean is are all 12v motor parts the same since I don't know the year, make model ect, of the vehicle it was in.
I plan on around 1,000hp+ when finished but just wasn't sure when it comes to main bearings, cam bearings, pistons/crank/wristpin/stroke clearance and internal crap like that, thanks.
ps my head has splits where the exhaust manifold mounts to the head, never seen this before, is that common?
