Damage Case
So the wires on the factory shift lever broke right where they go into the lever on my old 7.3. My friend has a spare 6.0 shift lever he'll give me, I know that it will fit into the shift tube fine my question lies in the wiring for the switch. My 7.3 has 3 wires (red/yellow, white/tan, light green/white) for its O/D switch, the 6.0 lever has 2 (red/yellow, white/tan) for the tow/haul switch. Is it possible to make the tow/haul switch function as the O/D switch by wiring the red/yellow and white/tan wires from the lever to the truck and dead ending the light green/white wire? Or should I wait until I can get to the dealer and buy the factory 7.3 style shifter? Any advice is appreciated as always.
