So today i pulled my buddys ats tranny out of his truck (4wd) 47re and I replaced the pump/convertor seal, pump gasket, and the pump o ring. We didnt check the endplay before but after replacing the pump it has about 1/4 inch of endplay, the front drum did pop out of the rear drum slightly, but I got it back in and fully seated. (tabs on the front drum are just below flush in the slots on the rear drum) the plastic washer that rides between pump and front drum is in, there no noticeable wear on the plastic washer. Not sure what could be causing this much endplay, any ideas???

How thick are the plastic washers? What about the mickey mouse washer and intermediate shaft end washer?

1/4" is way too much, should be just enough play to feel it click back and forth by hand.

.050-.085 is what I shoot for. .250 is way too much. Pull the pump out and inspect. If you don't find any issues, keep digging until you do find the issue. 3 c rules apply.
