How come dodge says the 6.7 makes 305 hp but when Diesel Power dynoed a stock one it made like 351?

I've heard companies do this because of insurnce purposes.

The factory 6.7 (non chassis cab) is advertised as making 350 crank HP. At the wheels it should probably be more like 310.

I too wondered about the stock dyno results on the PDI truck. Those figures look like they were converted to crank HP. If this is the case then the claimed 618 HP on that truck is not rear wheel HP.

What's the scoop on this?

the cab and chassis has a different engine than the non chassis cab?

Same engine, just different programming.

Mot guys buying a C&C want durability and low maintanance.

do they make a cheap programmer to turn mine back to regular?

or somethiing along the lines of that

a 6.7 we dynoed made a dissapointing 250hp to the wheels and it was a quad cab with a G56 trans. Not sure what the deal was with that.

Makes me wonder how much hp drop there is when the truck is in regen. Could be an explanation.
