700r4 Questions

Hi, Does the 700r4 that came on an 86 6.2 have different gear ratio's than a 700r4 that is for a gas engine. I'm parting out a truck and trying to decide if the tranny is worth keeping for parts to use on another truck if, or (more likely) when they are needed.
