What is a good choice to run with a A1000 aeromotive. I have a 100 micron pre filter for it. I was thinking a Fleetguard 1000 or a 1001. How small of a micron do i need or want? It's for a 12v.

Gavin, I fought injector issues for a long time till I ditched the Fleetguard filters and went with a Racor S3201S (2 Micron) if you have a filter housing using that Fleetguard it should work.

I ran two of them on my 12V, one for the stock lift pump, the other for the aux pump (A1000)

Is a 2 micron to small to use with a A1000. Or would a 10 or 7 be better.

I know that a 2 micron would be good but will it handle the pressure and volume of a A1000. I don't want to blow the seal out of it. I've done that before with a Jegs spin on filter.

What kills those pumps is to much vacuum on the inlet side. Every spin on I tried exceeded the vacuum I wanted per pump. The Dahl were the only filter that was under 4" of mercury.

Jim, was that the 2 micron version of Fleetguard?

I think they are 10 micron, Brady Williams turned me on to the setup.

I only ran the A1000 as an aux system so who knows if it will hurt it but the post above sounds like some good info!
