Actual 87/81 "J-type" turbine wheel specs?

What are the actual specs of the 87/81 "J-type" Borg Warner turbine wheel? The info I found shows a measurement of 87.37/81.74mm.

I recently purchased a new S475 and specifically asked for the 87/81 "J-type" Borg Warner turbine wheel. The measurements on my wheel are 87.30/80.38mm. What wheel do I have??? Thanks for your time.

The info you found is correct, the j-type is better referred to as the 87/82. I'm not sure what you have but a couple pictures would help.

That is the new style wheel, the JD 80/87mm wheel has a cast clip.

I remeasured, closer to 87.38/80.36. Small end still seems to be off?

The JD 80/87mm and J-type 81/87mm are quite different, and you clearly have the latter.

I tried ordering just the turbine wheel and no one would sell it separate. Don't know if that has changed.

Not the 87/81 j type wheel! I had my s480, PN179180, off the truck to switch turbine housings. The housing from my new s475 would would not fit my s480. Measured my s480, 87.37/81.54. Took some pics, they are not the same wheel!

It is the same wheel, however it looks as though the inducer has been machined to a smaller diameter.

I will have to send this back, my exhaust housings are not interchangeable.
