another tire question

What major advantage/disadvantage would there be to running a 305/70-16 vs. a 285/75-16 size tire.

I don't want to add a lift kit to clear 315's or a 35" tire.

debating between BFG AT, Goodyear Duratrac or Dunlop rover MT Maxx.

Truck has good HP and 4.88 gears.

Given the extra bite on the Goodyear and Dunlop would a narrower tire (285's) result is likelihood of breakage?

Truck is still daily driven and pulls 10+ times per year.

I would try to fit the 35's under it on stock wheels you should be ok. I just threw a set of 35/10.5/17's on my stock wheels and I only rub at full lock with plenty of room at the fenders, they rub on the control arms.
