hey guys i plan on building a truck soon, anyone running a s471 or k31 single or something close (71mm or bigger). how does it spool? fueling mods? when does it light? boost& hp #'s. injector sizes? egt's? any and all help greatly appriciated

call up pius at bell turbo when your ready to buy a single. I ran his msb1250 which had a 71mm inducer wheel, it was a k31/s400 combination spooled up very well for its size, and moved lots of air. it was similar to a a5k it would lite around 2000 and i made right around 60psi with it. i had industrial injection dragon flows, ddp's 024's 18* mack rack plug, 0 plate, 4kgsk, suncoast 92% triple disk converter, stock head, stock cam. it had a t6 housing too, so a t3/t6 adapter isn't greatest idea, but it worked and i even towed 5-6k with it no problems. it was very easy to smoke out whole intersections but it wasn't nearly as bad as everyone said it would be.

I know its not quite the size you are looking for, but I ran a 64/74/.9 s400 for a while on the street and it did not do too bad. started to light about 1800 and was full on by 2200. i have a DPE pump 575cc's 5x18's Scheid cam and a 5k GSK. I will say it never got past 25psi on the street but would get to 45-50psi pulling.

Ive had 80# boost against the trans brake at ~2k with a 71/73/16ss. You need a fuel curve to do so though.....

I ran a 80mm and pushed 65 psi. I did spray it a little on the line ,32 jet. The 74 lit a little better but didnt pull as hard as the 80. Its all a give and take. This was with a 15 blade stock stall goerend converter.
