Auto VS Manual input splines on TCASE

What exactly is different on a 271 TCASE that is set up for a manual vs one that is set up for an Auto?

I need to get the parts to allow my 271 to bolt up to a NV4500.. It is currently hooked to a 47RE.

23 spline I think is the auto, 29 spline is the manual. I think you just need the front hub. What are you doing? 5 speed??

I have the Fat output shaft in my auto, so I had to get a 5spd transfer case input gear and machine it down shorter to work with my auto.
