In the NHRA rule book it says that the battery cannot be located in the passenger compartment, but it also says that if there is no firewall separating the driver/battery an approved sealed battery box can be used. I have also seen more than one truck with the battery in a box in the cab. Our truck is a quad cab and I would like to mount the battery in the rear of the cab, but not sure if this will violate the rules? Any thoughts on this?

I would think that sealed box or not, it is still considered in the cab and this a violation. Why not mount it in the bed with a battery kill in the cab? (I'm assuming that's why you want it in the cab anyways)
