Battery Cable Ends

Does anyone have a good source for solder type cable ends? I have a bunch of cable from cat machines and want to build some new cables for my Dodge. We usually buy from fleet pride but would like other options

Napa has a pretty good selection of solder on ends, Northern tool also has a good selection. Northern tool is cheaper but I never seem to have time to order and wait for them to be shipped.

Only way to do it. No solder to wireterminals, ever.

Bought one and relocated both batteries to the rear of my truck. My work has now borrowed it twice to do the same job and no issues yet.

Well worth it!

Here's the one I bought:

Just my .02$ but i work in in an inviroment where we have to crimp cables, and i would never do it on my personal stuff. Solder all the way for me

Interesting.

So, why the division on crimp vs solder from you guys? I've done both. Have the materials for both at work.
I have to say I've never seen a cable migrate out of a soldered end.

Terminal Supply COmpany. I buy everything electrical related there. They have the solder slugs as well.

I found our internal parts. Get everything I need here.

The official word from industry sources I trust is solder on due to asperities and corrosion on crimped ends.

We inspected an end this morning that was crimped and soldered both

I like to pack it with dialectic grease and crimp/heat shrink. Tried solder in the past with great luck when it is done right. Solder is great in theory but dont get it perfect and the end is coming off.
