What would be the best way to go about checking a block for cracks? Head is off the truck currently

The truck is mostly stock, mixing fluids and had a new cummins oil cooler installed along with a head gasket job with a new head (old one was cracked 5 places) cummins HG and new arp425’s
Its a ppump 24valve, stock turbo and injectors.
I already got a new motor from mark for the truck, but id like somehow to find where it is cracked, IF it is.

that sucks...assuming all the work was done correctly; even if you did find the leak it would probably be pretty hard to fix. maybe keep your eye out for a new block and do new rings/bearings on your current rotating assembly.

hope someone else has better suggestions than me, good luck

Use a Bore scope and enter inside oil drain plug and pressure the cooling system up to 12-15 psi .. found 2 1998 blocks cracked that way ..
