Boost to drive ratio to low ??

I was always under the impression you wanted as little drive to boost as possible but recently read one of lavon's responses on explaining why a charger let go and he basically said drive was to low compared to boost ... 165:65 iirc or something close to it , can anyone go more in depth ?

I believe you want the ratio to be 1:1, but I could be wrong.

I was always told 1:1 is ideal but less is better ... apparently to much of something is indeed bad ?

His conclusion to why he granaded chargers was having nearly double the pressure on the compressor side vs. exhaust side on the high pressure manifold turbo.

His conclusion is not a general statement that applies as a rule to everyone... nor will those pressures ever happen unless it's a compound arrangement
