Just got done with the rotating assembly .020” rebuild. I’ve been using 15/40 and lubriplate 105 together on the bearings. The crank would turn smooth but I have to use both hands to push on the counterweights to get it to turn over.

The clearances are all pretty much in the middle of spec or a hair higher.

Depending on how long the assembly lube has been sitting on there, it can get pretty tough to spin by hand.

A week or so. I dunked the whole piston into a coffee with 15/40. Is that too much oil ?

Oh, you used oil. I got it now. I am not sure. I've had assembly lube get kind of crusty after a month of so.

I used lube and oil together on the bearings but I dunked the piston into oil with the rings on and submerged it up to the wrist pin, lined the rings where I wanted and tapped the piston into the block with my sweet new tapered ring compressor
