Hello all,
I am looking to upgrade my turbo for my mid '80s DT466. I have the MW pump turned up with the fuel screw and governor backed off. Currently adding a intercooler. Spicer 5sp with 2speed rear.
(all this is going into my 1948 International KB11, but thats another story)
Im looking for 300-350 horses for my trailer hauler. Probably wont see over 25K more than 3 times a year, mostly around 10K and bobtailing.
I would like off the line spooling and a decent top end. Not upgrading the pump or injectors any time soon.
Would a BW K31 be a good option? I can get one used for less than $300 any day of the week.
I think the specs are 71mm hot side 83mm cold side? 1.2 AR housing maybe?
I read that a 1.0 AR housing would be better?
Ive also considered a HX40 but have no clue on the specs I would need.
