GO VOLS!
My glow plug relay hasn't been working for a couple years and I've been doing some repairs and thought I would replace it. Truck was bought new in California and apparently has a different relay. Looks like a aluminum ridged box with two plugs. $160 for it. Took off the old one and looks like it has gotten hot inside one of the connectors and melted the plastic around one of the connectors. Should I buy a new pigtail and replace it or will it be ok to just plug it up to the new one?

If its been hot enough to melt the plastic, the connectors are loose and that caused the heat. Get a new pigtail.

look at the valve cover harnesses also. if it fried the connector at the controller i would imagine the valve cove harnesses arent in much better shape.
