I'm installing a Hamilton cam in my 12v but i have a broken cam gear. Can i put a 24v cam gear (02 or earlier) on it and be fine in my 12v?

Need to know ASAP thanks for your help!!

CR is 03 and up genius, 02 and older are helical and I believe would work but you will lose the ability to pin time the engine as the cam gear itself has timing marks that line up with a mark on the crank in 24v's

Your right foreskin good catch I missed the 02 and older part.

OP I do have a a spare cam gear here you can have just pay shipping if that can help you out. 01-02 have a cam timing plate so like foreskin said may not pin time like the older versions.

From what I've read the 12v vs 24v gears are the same pattern but i cant find anywhere that says that outright. I'm not concerned with being able to pin time but are the timing marks in relation to the woodruff key the same from the 12v to 24v?
