changed cp3. Now huge oil leak

I had a sad cp3, changed it to a healthy new stock one..
Now i have a HUGE oil leak, which appears to be coming from the front case area. I took off my jake brake vacuum pump as well. It appears to be coming from the cp3 cover cap, of which i have replaced.

Can one bend the gear cover, so it would not seal ?? :what:

Only things i changed that could have contributed to the leak are:

R and R cp3.
Jake brake vacuum pump delete.
15 lbs more boost, because of the happy pump.


There is no excessive blow by.

Any ideas?

If you over tighten the plastic cap it will crack , take it off and look I did mine along time ago. Mine cracked where the threaded part connects to the cap.

if you use the correct puller, you shouldn't even touch the cover plate.

well i rtved the cover plate and new crank seal. seem good to go.
