What is the best way and thing to use to clean the core of a water to air intercooler?

Anything you'd use to clean hard deposits.
CLR would probably work.

Mark.

Don't let it sit too long, it eats aluminum.

I would go for a 3 step solution.
1st, degreaser like simple green, the clr, then tsp, it will neutralize the acid in clr (yes, it's also a degreaser, but acid doesn't cut grease and oil)

Ive ran just vinegar through mine. But i also drain all my water after a pull so water dont sit in there
