Hello, I am building a very streetable fun driving truck with goals of hp less than 800 to 850 max.

I have built my trans with Revmax 700 and i have upgraded injectors to BBI stage 1.5 with mm3 programmer, 12mm S&S cp3, head studs.. i guess everything but the turbo

my delima is the turbo setup.. i wnt a 62 /s476 or s478

i would like it to light very fast and be able to produce good power throughout the rpm up to 3500 rpm.

With my current setup which is 3.42 gears and 62 74 .80 with 35" tires it does light decent but not as quick as i would like it.

I am switching out the 342 gears to 410s and im thinking of changing the turbine from a 74mm to a 65mm.

Would a 65mm turbine be ok in a s362 / s476sxe compund setup ? would the egts be low enough? Im thinking to only way to get this turbo to light as fast as i would like it? Thoughts / suggestions/ ..

my setup if i did this would be a s362 65 or 68 turbine .80 wastegated to a s476 or s478 sxe t6 96mm turbine with a 1.15 or 1.32 exh housing.

Please help .. any ideas would be better than me wasting more $$ to keep trying turbos to get one that will light properly

If your gonna do anything but run around town or tow heavy I'd steer clear of 410s and go 373

4.10’s and 35’s suck.

I approve this message. My Fummins has 35s with 373 and it cruises 75mph at 2150rpm. I had 410s in my 2nd gen but stock tires and it screamed at almost 2500 to hit 75.

I'm probably the farthest one on here to give advice on turbo numbers and I'll also add I've never built (sorry, bolted on) anything close to 800hp. The one thing that brought my '02 alive was a new cam from Hamilton (granted it was a single charger setup). That changed spool up dramatically. Not sure if that's an option for ya, but wanted to toss that out there.
