Doing Valve Springs

Is the line on the VP gear just a crude way to find TDC on the 24v? Or is it dead on TDC?

Also can someone explain to me how to exactly do valve springs on the 24v engine?

In my eyes its crude but it can be used to get you running. The best way is through the injector bore with a dial indicator and mark TDC on the balancer.

Valve springs are very easy if you have one of the tools Hamilton Cams loans out. Wicked Diesel also sells an identical tool for very cheap. A magnet and paitence will be your best friend. Dont forget to set valve lash once the valvesprings are replaced.
