downloading Smarty program questions. Help

I recieved a new program for the Smarty Via email and I downloaded it and the driver and 7 zip but I cant seem to 7 zip the file.

I did this successfully once before but I just forgot the process

So if some one would be kind enough to walk me through it please

Are you trying to unzip the file or zip up the file? The file with the .smt extension is already unzipped and ready to load into the Smarty.
 
Ok not sure why I see that temp directory file.

In the directory with the .7z. Highlight the file (click on it once), then right click the mouse. A 7-Zip option should be in the menu that pops up. Click the 7-Zip and select the Extract Here option. The file will be unzipped in that directory.
 
I guess I am trying to unzip, I want the file size to go from 5600KB to some where around 28000KB , and turn it into the .smt file .

but when I right click I do not see the 7 zip option . . :(

I have done it once before I jsut don't recall how.
 
if you right click, do you have an "open with" option?

can you drag the file to the 7zip application icon?
 
i have absolutely NO IDEA how it happened but it fixed itself, and turned itself into a .smt file, so upload is working now.
