Trying to program my old edge theromocouple into a new display and it doesn't seem to read. I'm trying to verifiy whether it is a type K or J. It might even be an E or G...but I can't find any info on-line. If I don't find it, I'll call them tomorrow. Can anyone save me a call and tell me tonight?

Thanks.

I have this one.

Not "G". J, K, or E.

...or some proprietary bull crap that don't match anything I can calibrate or program? LOL Typical. Anyone?

Most common thermocouples are K-type, as they are fairly inexpensive. The thermocouple that was supplied with my Stewart Warner gauge was a K-type.

I clicked on J when I set it up earlier. I'll change it to K tomorrow. Thing is....either should read, it just wouldn't be the actual temp....something is awry. :(

Thanks.

I take it the red wire is negative and the yellow it positive? Maybe that is the problem. I found that color on a website..maybe I got it backwards.
