EFI Live tire size question

I know I can't use my EFI Live to adjust for the bigger tires I'll be running soon. My question is....I can plug something like the hypertech or a superchip in just to change the tire size and speedometer and no issue be created?

I can find a cheap hypertech to use if the EFI Live won't be interfered with by doing so?

use the hypertech to set tire size, make sure it is set back to stock and read out the stock file. use that to build from.
