The Short: Can a 1st gen VE pump application, Fass 150 lift pump be modified to perform with the P7100 94-98 2nd gens?

The long: I bought a early 91 Ve truck a couple years back and built it up to where I was happy. Happy didn't stay happy long, and considered swapping a p7100 on the truck, but ended up buying an entire donor and swapping the entire engine. I installed an expensive fass 150 on the truck months before I made the decision to motor swap the truck, and now hoping I don't have to make the purchase again

Yes it will work fine, don't get caught up on needing high pressure on the p pump, 20-25 under load will be fine.

Really? That's interesting, and not what I was expecting. I see alot of guys asking this question about running a VP44 Fass on a p7100, and these guys talk about replacing springs and check valves.

I'm planning on building for high HP, and don't wanna make more work for myself down the road, but also don't wanna spend unnessecary ?.

You can get the regulator spring from fass, if you really want to build for high performance you need higher feed pressures. The fill port on the barrel is only open for so long. As you increase rpms you must increase your feed pressure to make sure you are filling the barrel all the way up or there isn't much point in raising your rpms up.

Was told, 10 psi for every 1000 rpm in the p pumps. Has worked great for me
