I have an 83 gmc vandura 6.2l diesel, and i was wondering why my glow plug light goes on while i am driving then turns off then back on? why is that
 
Most likely your glow plug controller has failed. This is a fairly common problem on the early 6.2's, and unfortunately it can cause some serious damage if let go. If the glow plugs come on while the engine is running it will normally result in a swelled or broken off glow plug tip that goes through your engine.
