HD Valve train

Was told when I bought the truck that it had HD valve train from EEP. Is there a stamp ID or something that would tell me....

On your 97 right?

If you pull a valve cover off and wipe off the keeper on the intake and exhaust valves, look at the keeper. If it is more of a darker gray color, its probably stock.
If it is more of a silver/shiny color, you probably have the billet/titanium retainers & keepers.

Not real scientific, sorry.

Also look at the springs if they look kinda fat(bigger outside diameter) in the middle (top to bottom) they are HD

doesn't help you much if the parts are on the truck but beads from a bead blaster will spark if sprayed on titanium.
