Thinking it is time to replace my heart core. Truck will eventually get warm but it takes forever to get there.
Thinking that this is the same process as the 2nd gens. Guessing the entire dash has to come out to replace the heater core. So while I am in there I am going to replace the dash. It isn't completely destroyed but it is cracked in a few places. Figure while I have the dash out I might as well replace it.
Originally I wanted to swap a newer dash in its place. But trying to find a newer donor and not having a shop of my own to do that in limits the down time that I can take up. So, my question is, has anyone ever tired to two tone these trucks? I currently have a gray interior, but I was thinking about putting in a tan dash and maybe painting some of the other dash pieces similar to some of the newer trucks with a beige and chocolate brown color. Has anyone tried this?
