Injector Return Fittings

I have a '89 F350 7.3l and I need to put O-Rings on the injectors to stop an air leak. I plan on doing the Return Fittings as well.. I have found that there are 2 types.. and early and a Late. Early having a smaller Barb fitting, and the barb comes out the Middle of the fitting, where as the late has a larger barb fitting, and it comes off the edge of the Fitting.

My truck has the early style can i run the Late style? They look like they would flow a bit better (unsure if thats an advantage)

With the late kit, you'll have a larger diameter fuel hose and that may be too large for the barbs on the fuel return block at the rear of the driver's side intake manifold and on the fuel filter head. I tryed to use a late kit on my '86 and had that problem. I had to reuse a section of the older smaller hose to make the connections at those two locations. If you've got the early kit on the truck, it's best to stay with that style. There is no real advantage to using the later style.
