just bought a sport bumper

So i just bought a sport bumper cover for my 03, how does it mount? Does it my original plastic bumper parts come off (top black piece, painted piece that trims the top of the bumper) and the sport cover mount over top of my crome?
I havnt taken anything off yet, just makin sure i don't need anything before i rip off my old chit.

You need a new bumper support to go behind it. The sport bumper will not fit over a factory chrome bumper

thanks, would this be a 2500/3500 specific do you know or would a 1500 be the same?

Is this true on an 06 as well? I have a chrome bumper and want to go to the sport or laramie bumper in the spring. My friend has an 06 sport and it looks like the same bumper as my chrome on behind the cover.

A 1500 bumper reinforcement will fit a 2500/3500.

Same for the 06 models, you need the bumper reinforcement for it as well.
