Led reverse lights

Looking for any input on putting led bulbs in my new taillights. I am leaning toward getting the altezza led smoked taillights. I will have to either use the regular stock reverse light, or go with LEDs. Did some searching but there are so many to choose from? Is there anywhere to get them on the cheap side that will last? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well I went the Recon route and had the LED tail lights with the LED reverse bulbs on my truck since 2009 and never had a single problem. Knock on wood.

Eric what size of bulbs did you go with? Or which Cree light did you go with. I'm needing some bright lights to counter the smoked tail lights and the truck having tinted windows.

I just ordered the LED's from retro solutions for my 06 CTD.

If you are just going to do bulbs, checkout Super Bright LED's. I have LED's from them in all light locations, except headlights. Good price and bright as hell!

I was looking at superbright led site. They have good prices. Just don't want to skimp out on the price to have to go back and pay later for the better product. Thanks for the help Eric. SuperDave just how long did they last? Were you able to get it replaced?

Question for you smarter guys? Whats the difference in the two different styles of lights. I notice the cree style is more of an enclosed light. And the others look like cheap little leds on the plastic towers. Is there one style that is brighter than the other? Sorry for all the dumb questions. Just like getting as much feedback as possible before I purchase something. Thanks again for the replies.

Well, I can say that Super Bright does have great prices and I have not had or heard of anyone having issues with their lights. There are many different styles of LED bulbs as far as intensity, flood pattern etc. I use high intensity for reverse, tail/brake and front park/turn lights. I run a Recon 3rd brake light (old housing was junk). Also if concerned with quality wherever you buy, check reviews. Also, I am sure you already are aware if you upgrade your turn bulbs to LED, you most likely will need to replace your flasher relays with LED compatible ones. If not, you can get erratic flash rates.

Went with the retro-solutions. Will let you guys know what they are like after I get them installed. Will have to wait till after Christmas as they are a present for my wife. Thanks for all the input guys.
