Around what would it cost to build a 2012 ho to a reliable 600-700hp. And still be able to tow and dd the truck with very little to no smoke? I know it would need a turbo or turbos, injectors, fuel, studs, tuner, intake and exhaust. But will the rods hold? And how much is the trans good for? What other little things is it gonna need? And why dosnt cant people custom tune all dodges like you can a ford?

Thanks

Here is a best guess for power on that:

1- 2nd gen manifold swap with twins. Dont know sizes, sorry. $2500+
2- ARP 625 studs - $1000
3- Injectors - $2000?
4- Upgraded CP3 - $1200
5- EFI Live Tuning - $650-$1000
6- Exhaust - $350
7- Air Dog/FASS/Aeromotive - $650
8- Transmission - $5000++++++

And I do not understand this statement:

"And why dosnt cant people custom tune all dodges like you can a ford?"

You can custom tune dodges with EFI live if that is what you are talking about.

I wouldn't do twins ever on a 6.7. Stick with a decent single 66-72mm s400 frame with 2nd gen manifold. The reason for staying single turbo is that stock rods don't last long with twins or at the 700+ level.

Also EFI isn't out for 2010-2013. So Smarty and H&S are your options for tuning.

Nozzles for your injectors are not $2000. But more along the lines of $900 from most places. You don't need whole injectors unless your current ones are not up to par then your looking at $450-500/ea for 100hp or so.

A modded cp3 will be around $16-1800 for new. Or the best option is just go twin cp3's. but the stocker will yield high 500's.

An AirDog is great investment and around $650. Aeromotive will be closer to $1000-1200 mark once you buy all the associated parts and filters.

Also, a grid delete and intake horn from Passenger is ideal. Cost is around $700.

Contact FirePunk, Lavon Miller, for any Trans questions and quotes. He is producing some quality 68's.

This subject has been discussed and beat to death as well.
