Loose EGT probe

Just looking for ideas why my egt probe keeps coming loose and falling out. It has came out twice in the last month now. It's in the bottom of an ATS manifold, it's not the adapter fitting that threads into the manifold, but the brass nut that holds the probe itself in. I've tightened it about as tight as I comfortable with being brass. Is there something I'm missing with this or just bad luck?

Is the ferrel still in the fitting? I'm assuming it's a compression fitting style of probe

I'd get away from the copper, and choose one like that ^^^

I only have the nut, and the piece that threads into the manifold. Are those pieces available to be bought somewhere?

Sounds like you're missing the ferrule. Pick one up at your local parts house and all should be fine.
