Loss of throttle response. Rail pressure??

My ol mans pick up looses throttle response after cruising down the high at 65-70mmph and when you go to throttle into it theres nothing there.herd of a few things like tps or fuel rail pressure dropping? need some info.

loses throttle responce as in zero acceleration? Or just doesnt pick up and go like it should?

IF you have not changed the Fuel filter in awhile, start there.

just wont pick back up.feels kinda like its goverened.after you go down the highway for 1 hour or so at constant speed of 65 or 70 and then go to power into it,it wont go pass the speed of 65 or 70.and yes have changed the fuel filter. truck only has 47k on it also.

Fuel filter first. IF not there get it hooked up to scan tool in look at the data

If a clean new fuel filter didn't fix it you need a scanner unless you wanna blindly start throwing parts at it.

Find a shop in your area that's familiar with duramaxes and take it there!

Check air filter and clean MAF sensor.

its an '05. its throwing a p1093 sometimes when it occurs but sometimes it wont throw anything.just think that having 47k on the truck is a little early for this to be happening.

IIRC, that's a low rail pressure code.

pulled valve out installed plug.all is well now.!! thanks for help.
