melted 12v pistons

has anyone ever seen a piston melt like this? i ran ddp then columbus diesel injectors and had no issues then swithced to the harts dual feeds and made one pass and the truck sounded like it was not hitting on all cylinders so i pulled them out and send the back, they ended up telling me that 3 injectors had hung the pinnels(sp?). so tonight i pulled the head off and found 5 of the 6 cylinders were burnt up but ive never seen a piston melt like this. any ideas on why this happened?

I think what happens is the piston is hot and the cold fuel comes in and sprays the top of the piston, the rapid cooling is like dunking a piece of freshly welded steel in water. It gets brittle and little pieces break off.
