no brake lights

Have an issue with my 2nd gen. Had the motor pulled and installed a new clutch. Manual transmission stayed in the truck. Now, no brake lights or 3rd brake light. Fuses are good, and my mechanic installed a new brake switch. Any ideas would be fantastic, 'cause I'm out.

Dumb question, but you did check to make sure you have power going to the bulbs?
Pigtail is plugged all the way in on the brake switch and plugged in the right way?

So i had a similar problem...the white power distribution block under the dash was not tightened down good...
