I have a STORM short block that is built to be a 12v. I am trying to figure out how to identify if it is a "dump to sump" or "dump to pump" oiling system so I can buy the correct parts. Here is the only info I could come up with when searching Oil Coolers It shows the different coolers and gaskets but does not explain how to determine the oil flow path. I have checked both Cummins manuals (12v&24v) flow diagrams and they show that they both dump to sump... I could be over thinking this and the only difference is in the coolers...There is also the filter head as well that could be different. I have also spent hours trying to find any info on quickserve and turned up no results there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
