Im pretty sure you can use the pre drilled hole on top of the oil filter housing( if your putting a gauge in) if you just want to know where the stock one is here it is

The LB7s are on the front left corner of the engine below the PS pump.

2001 - 2002 LB7 lower front corner of driverside of the block, about motor mount height.
2003 bastard year, some like 2001 and the rest like 2004
2004 - 2011 Dirverside of block just rearward of motor mount and slightly below.
