I bought a truck with a reconditioned motor in it about a year ago. Finally got around to pulling the engine yesterday. Now I want to know more about the pump. It’s a 215 pump but the pump only has one tag on it.

the only info off the pump tag:
3931600 LA
M072100030 A
p-7100

this was stamped where the tag on the back of the pump used to be.

2-59075

Info off of engine tag

Engine s/n
60214421

injection p/n
3802689-PX

manufactured
10/9/00

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Its all going to be torn down, I just want to know what I'm starting with.
Thanks in advance,
Daniel

yes that is where the engine s/n, injection p/n and manufactured date came from.
is there something specific you need? just let me know and I can get for you.
Thanks
Daniel

call snedge, are you looking for parts too?

Engine s/n
60214421

Really I was more curious about what I am starting with as far as the pump 911,913,887 etc. It will be completely rebuilt for my puller. I plan on calling Jeff as soon as I get it torn apart.

have you pulled the linkage plate off the side of the pump and looked for a tag?

The tag you need to find looks like this:

73047_664652404573_48205600_36964994_7989790_n.jpg

The last three digits are what you are after. If you do have a 215, it will be either 913 or 887.

yes I have pulled the entire motor. I posted this thread because the tag I needed (the one jrod posted) was not on the pump. I didnt know if there was any other way to id a pump besides that tag. so I posted it up for the experts.

Snedge could you please identify the pump on my truck? It is a Cummins replacement pump installed in 1999, into my 1998 truck that has CPL2175.
The pump was sold as a 230hp package by Cummins NW.
The tag under the throttle linkage was inspected by a tech at the shop. He reported it as M03209803B
thanks

Should be a 913...they had the higher breakaway (high idle) speed governors in them...the other pumps all have breakaway at 2500 rpm.
