Pop in reverse?

Lately, my truck has began to pop when I put it in reverse and let out on the clutch. I'm not quite sure what it is, or why it only pops in reverse. Any ideas?

Lube the slip yoke on the drive line. When the splines get dry, sometimes they will bind and pop back and forth when you load them in reverse or forward since the rear axle moves a little.

Also check the carrier bearing.
