Power Building the 24v with VP-44's

It's known that some engines make less power with an HR-VP-44 pump over a standard output VP-44.....

And yet some DO make more power-

Let's unravel this mystery......

Do the fueling boxes stress out the HR VP's too much and why not the S.O. VP's?

Good question.
I have heard that most vendors will not warranty a HRVP if the wire has been pierced.

I wonder if the HRVP is set to such a high output upon rebuild that the box just hurts it.??

Just switching to a HR VP-44 (No other mods) I picked up 7 psi at max boost and whole lot of seat of the pants power. (This was done with a very mild street setup, 120hp EDM's a VA box and an HTB2 64/14.)

Ya know I was wondering how a HRVP would do with a Smarty.

If the HRVP give a good bottom end improvment I'm thinking it would ROCK with the Smarty.


BTW Tcolesanti how do/did you like that 64/14.
I'm thinking of going to a 64/12 along with smaller tires for towing.
