pulling with a 48re tranny?

i with my mods i have so far done to my tranny, what else should i need, i figured a flexplate forsure, cause the factory ones are thin. and maybe new HD clutches. also, all you do is just leave it in drive, with Tow/Haul on???
 
If you have HTS parts, my advice is to call Dusty at HTS and ask him if you need anything else for pulling. He setup the tranny on Dustin Meyers 05 twin turbo super street pulling truck last year. I dont recall it ever breaking at a pull. He knows a thing or two about the 48, me thinks. :bow:
 
Might I recommend 2nd instead of Drive?

Maybe it's just my truck, but if it hits 3rd gear, things go (or went, I should say) all to heck in a hand purse.
 
make sure the O/D(tow/haul) button is OFF---4 lo and D is the combo to keep parts from breaking unless your tranny builder warrants 4hi use----chris
