ok ive seen bypass plates for the rear freeze plug, that would involve actually taking the freeze plug out and replacing it with the bypass plate

now i have seen somebody makes just a block off plate that bolts to the back of the block to prevent the freeze plug from coming out.

looks like this one requires the freeze plug to be removed
89-02 Dodge 5.9L Cummins Diesel Bolt-in Freeze Plug

can anybody find me the plate that just bolts over the plug?

Just make a plate that bolts over the plug. I just put a flat piece of steel over mine. Installed it with the engine still in the truck. New engine has the bypass kit.

i saw the dimensions for the bolt spacing somewhere, but i cant remember where

also can anyone remember the bolt thread size for the rear holes?

The bolt size is m12x1.75. don't know what the bolt spacing is . I just used a flat piece of aluminum to make mine.

Wade Moody mad mine.. I'll see if I can post a pic in a few..
