Recentering H1 wheels.

Hey brothers and sisters. I have all my parts in to recenter h1 wheels and was wondering if anyone else has done it. Id like to see pics of a 6.4 with them on it. All i can look up is the older trucks.

What was your runout? Twf says theyre runout is .0003 i figured .0005-.001 would be suffice obviously if i can get them closer the better

Mine was 0.015-0.030 on three of them, the fourth for whatever reason I couldn't get any better than ~0.100.

I'm sure the truer the better. I think OEM wheels run-out was sometimes up to .050-.080 or something like that.

I looked up D.O.T. regs on semi steel wheels and the tolerance is .070 laterand radial and on autos its .100 later and radial. i got one of mine at .010 (took 30 min to get it there)and about 3 around .030 and the last couldnt get better than .070.

I do have some vibs but my driveshaft isn't balanced. It's coming off this weekend to get balanced and then I'll report. I'm just running air soft pellets in the tires. The vibs are only at certain speeds also.

Also I should note that te tires I have right now are worn out bad and un-even wear. They were free until I determine if I like the setup.

when i get done blasting the outer rings and painting it all ill post pics of the bolted up

I had twf do mine before they shipped. I ran beads in 1 and liquid in the other for balancing. Needed 50+ in weights for each if I was to use weights. Had no problem with beads and liquid.

How much weight in beads?

OP, you welded the whole perimeter? I just ran stitch weld for fear of warping.

I can't remember. I think just threw in 2X oz just to be safe, didn't really measure. Same for the liquid, which I know for sure was less than 20oz. It was so conventient not having to spin the tire and add weight every time. Just pull the valve, add the stuff, and go.

Yeah I only put in 10oz beads. I think it just needs more personally.

I tacked them up on yhe truck and took them to a race car fab guy amd he welded them. They stayed true so im not too worried. This is the spare. Im going to take it up to the shop and see what the balance is. This one had more tacks in it from alligning on the truck.
