Anyone know horsepower limit on the connecting rods for the 05 PD VW diesel??:pop:
 
Safe torque limit is around 300ft-lbs, maybe a little more. Most people who run more than that upgrade. Some have run more than that and haven't had any issues.

I ran ~300ft-lbs on stock ALH rods for over a year with a good tune and they're all still straight.
 
So around 180/190Hp.
What turbo are you running?

I am running a GTB2056VL right now. - 234hp/370ft-lbs

I was running a KKK BV43A around 190hp/300ft-lbs. Its not a bolt on option for your car. a 17/22 is a good bolt on option for you however you'll need an injector upgrade to get over 160hp.
 
I just have the 17 Garrett upgrade and Malone stage 4 tune and it will be today before I go drive it with these 2 changes.Injector upgrade next.

VNT17 and Stage 4 are a good setup, You can do PD150 injectors from europe to get the most out of that turbo - about another 10-20hp depending on how you you want it tuned
