I have an 03 common rail and I have tried to use an otc genesis scan tool to read the rail pressure. If you go in the right way it will show up as an option to look at but when you try to do a live reading it just says not available. I'm trying to figure out my surging issue with my smarty and I want to read the desired vs the actual rail pressure. Is it the scan tool causing this? Or is the pickup the problem? Thanks for your time and input.
