shimming 4k springs

Ok guys no flaming me to much. But i've been thinking..I've seen people shim stock springs but has anyone ever shimmed a 4k kit? I've been thinking about trying it but wanted to hear from you guys first. If there's a thread on this please point me in that direction. :thankyou2:

I'm taking shimming with 12m washers. Guys do it with the stock springs and I was wondering if it would work the same. That's all i'm wondering.

you can do whatever you like, but its clearly not an exact science.

its easier to buy a smooth set of 5k's

i have been running a shimmed 4k for about 2 years. i used my factory OEM shims to shim it out. just one however. 2 caused idle issues and there were very few threads holding the keepers on. prolly picked up an extra 100rpms.
