I pulled it off today...got tired of looking at it. LOL
Obviously painted black...has a small ding in the very bottom behind the plate box...you can't see it when it's mounted and could be easily repaired. You can't see it in the pic....but it is there. Both sides were painted so there's no rust on the back side.
