I just installed a 3850 dd and hydrolic upgade in my truck. but i can't get the clutch to disengage enough to shift into or out of gear with the truck running. How much difference is their in the upgaded slave and the stock one because the one i have looks identical to the stock one and the only # differance is np1 on the old one versus np2 on the new? Is their something special i need to do? I put the slave with the straps on into the bell housing with the clutch in place according to the instrutions. then I pumbed the clutch 10-15 times but it won't fully disengage the clutch. Any suggestions?

What year truck?

I have a 97 and when I talked to Peter at SBC, he said there wasnt an upgrade. That slave adjusts itself.

The newer ones 98.5 and up, you can get an upgraded/adjustable one.

I just got off the phone with Peter and he told me that the shaft (witch I got from Haisley Machine is a little different) and that there could be some burs on it from install. He said to take it out and do some hard launches to help seat the clutch.
